Overview

You will develop accounting, finance, management, and technology competencies in this four-year honours degree program. You will learn how to prepare, interpret and analyze financial information and be on the path toward a professional accounting designation. With this unique accounting education, you will be job-ready for Canadian and global business environments.

Mandatory Degree Co-op

Work experience includes at least one term in a formal work environment. In most cases, the work term(s) is a paid position completed between two academic semesters and requires a minimum of 420 hours. Students must be in good standing and meet all identified requirements before participating in the work experience. The successful completion of the co-op work term(s) is required for graduation.

Eligibility for participation does not guarantee that a work position will be secured. Additional fees are required for those participating in the mandatory co-op stream regardless of success in securing a work position.

Professional Certification

As a graduate of this program, assuming you have met the minimum grade requirement, you will have:

  • Completed courses recognized as equivalent to the 14 preparatory courses required for admission to the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP®). See CPA Ontario for details.
  • Eligibility for exemptions for ACCA Papers F1 to F8.
