Overview
Humber’s Fire Services diploma program teaches you the theory of fire science, fire prevention, safety, and physical and mental health while working in a collaborative environment. You will gain a well-rounded education in fire services and will acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required by fire and emergency services. You will also develop personal resilience strategies to manage the rigours of this career.
This program does not educate you to become a firefighter. If you would like information on becoming a firefighter, see the Pre-Service Firefighter program.
Career opportunities
This program will provide you with the knowledge, skills and abilities in a broad range of fire services including emergency measures with municipal fire services, military, provincial ministries within the public sector and safety equipment sector. Graduates may also find employment within the private sector in security, fire inspection and insurance adjustment.
