Entry qualification

Undergraduate Diploma (or higher) To be eligible for admission, you must possess: A post-secondary diploma or degree in science or engineering, and A post-secondary math with a minimum grade of 60%, and/or A demonstrated competence through related work and educational experience. This program is most appropriate for graduates of college or university programs in engineering and technology-related fields, computer sciences, mathematics, statistics, economics, business administration and graduates of natural or environmental sciences. Computer literacy skills testing may be required. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English.

The program offers professional preparation for a quality assurance career, including in-depth coverage of material that appears on the examinations for the professional designations of Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) offered by American Society for Quality.

After completing two academic terms, students can apply for a paid co-op work term to gain professional experience while deepening their education. Enrolment is limited and requires a separate application process and requirements. To be eligible for acceptance in co-op, one has to have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and no D grade in the first term. To remain in co-op, similar academic performance must be maintained in the second term as well.

Companies in all areas of business and industry (including automotive, aviation, chemical, computer, electronics, energy, food, mechanical, moulding, plastics, and pharmaceutical) employ quality assurance personnel.
