Overview
Sheridan’s Honours BBA (Human Resource Management) degree will arm you with the job-ready skills you need to start your HR career.
Become a Valuable Influencer
Human resources is more than supporting employees and handling payroll. Today’s HR professionals are also major influencers in shaping a company’s business strategies and maximizing productivity. Our human resources degree is built on a solid foundation of general business skills, enabling you to understand the priorities and goals of an entire organization.
Learn from Industry Leaders
Sheridan’s HR programs are highly respected in the industry, and our HR degree coordinator is on the board of directors of the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA). Our students also often intern or land a co-op position with notable employers such as federal and municipal government, Softchoice, Sunwing Travel Group and the Real Estate Council of Ontario.
Work Towards Your CHRP and CHRL Certification
You’ll be job-ready when you graduate, but you’ll also be well on your way to earning valuable certification from the HRPA. Our curriculum is aligned with the HRPA coursework requirements. This will help you if you’re interested in becoming a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL).
Enjoy Collaborative and Hands-on Learning
Today’s work world has changed. Top employability skills now include critical thinking, collaboration, leadership, communication and entrepreneurship. Sheridan`s small class sizes and applied learning approach allow you to develop these skills in an interactive environment. You can then refine your new skills through a mandatory internship and optional co-op.
Gain Real-World Work Experience Before Graduation
In the human resource management program, you’ll have the benefit of completing a mandatory work term as part of your business degree. This provides valuable work experience and allows you to practice and finesse skills and concepts learned in class.
You may also apply to participate in the BBA Co-op program, which allows students to complete three additional work terms to a total of four work terms. Enrolment in the Co-op program is limited through an additional Co-op application process.
Bachelor Degree Entrance Scholarship
Sheridan offers a $2,000 Entrance Scholarship to eligible students who are entering the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree programs. This scholarship is to recognize international students with high academic achievement who have obtained a GPA average of 75% and higher. Students will be automatically considered for this award based on the transcripts submitted at the time of application.
