Electronics Engineering Technology (Optional Co-op)

Tuition fee CA$18,752 per year

The fee is for the 2022–2023 academic year and includes tuition (CA$16,705), health insurance and ancillary charges.

Registration fee CA$400 one-time

The registration fee includes the non-refundable application fee (CA$100) and the refundable deposit fee (CA$300).

Accommodation fee CA$1,800 per month

The above fee is an estimated amount for living expenses for one month.

Overview

If you don’t just enjoy your iPod, tablet and smartphone but are also curious about their inner workings, the Electronics Engineering Technology program is for you. Facilitated by the School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science, this advanced diploma program will prepare you with cutting-edge knowledge that reflects the latest developments in electronics engineering.

Through an optimal balance between theory and hands-on experience in your courses, you’ll:

  • Gain a solid foundation in modern electronics;
  • Develop technical expertise in areas such as wireless communications, data communications, microcontrollers and industrial systems;
  • Work with computers, communication transceivers, and electronics testing and measurement equipment.

As an Electronics Engineering Technology program graduate, you’ll be prepared for various full-time jobs in electronics industry areas such as electronic product design and development, manufacturing or installation, service, research and technical sales.

Co-op Option

The co-op option will allow you to gain hands-on experience while you complete three co-op work terms as an employee in the field. This experience not only allows you to put classroom learning into practice but will also provide valuable contacts for your future career.

To participate in this co-op option, you must complete an application process in the second semester. If academically qualified, you may be admitted to the co-op program.

When you graduate, your diploma will highlight the co-op credential.
