Overview
The Electronics Engineering Technology (Fast-Track) program will grant qualified students direct admission into the second year (third semester) of this three-year offering and see them receive their advanced diploma in two years (four semesters).
In this college science program, you’ll obtain knowledge of the latest in electronics engineering through a range of practical Electronics Engineering Technology courses. You’ll develop technical expertise in areas such as:
- wireless communications
- data communications
- microcontrollers
- industrial systems
While gaining a solid foundation in modern electronics, you’ll partake in hands-on applications involving computers, communication transceivers, and electronics testing and measurement equipment to balance theoretical lessons.
The theoretical-practical application split of Electronics Engineering Technology (Fast-Track) will prepare you for various challenging careers.
Co-op Option
The co-op option will allow you to gain hands-on experience while you complete two co-op work terms as an employee in the field. This experience not only allows you to put classroom learning into practice but will also provide valuable contacts for your future career.
To participate in this co-op option, you must complete an application process in the first semester. If academically qualified, you may be admitted to the co-op program.
When you graduate, your diploma will highlight the co-op credential.
