Overview
Imagine yourself as an award-winning poet or novelist, as a government policy advisor, or as a communications officer. Maybe you like to coordinate folk festivals, design corporate websites, that teach others about literature or writing, or unearth lost manuscripts. These are some examples of where the study of English can lead.
Through this program, you will learn about authors from around the globe, diverse genres and literary periods. You will also develop critical thinking and writing skills that will enhance your learning style and strengthen your communication skills.
Co-op Program
Co-operative Education (Co-op) alternates practical, career-related, paid work terms with semesters in class, giving you up to 16 months of supervised work experience by the time you graduate.
If you are interested in becoming a Co-op student, check to see when and what pre-requisites you need to have completed before becoming a part of the program. Make sure that you are qualified prior to submit an application.
How many work terms will you do?
Three, with an optional fourth work term. Arts Co-op students will be allowed a maximum of TWO Summer work terms.
How much can you earn during a work term?
Your salary could range from $1500 to $3000 per month, or about $10 to $18 per hour. Some employers may also offer a moving allowance.
