Overview
Humber’s Mechanical Engineering Technician diploma program provides you with the necessary skills to design and manufacture mechanical systems and subsystems. You will learn the design concepts with the most advanced software and work with the most updated technologies in advanced manufacturing. The curriculum covers the theory and the skills required for:
- engineering design and modelling
- using solid works and AutoCAD
- mechanical components and systems design
- advanced manufacturing technologies
- programming (CNC) machine tools using computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software
The curriculum includes courses in solid mechanics, mechanical design, hydraulics, pneumatics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), maintenance techniques and manufacturing. You will be able to develop and implement manufacturing procedures to produce and manufacture system’s designs.
