Overview
Sheridan’s Project Management program will give you the skills you need to successfully manage projects in any discipline.
Critical training
This program prepares you to initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control a project to ensure its success. That’s true whether your area of interest is the arts, community or social services, business or government administration. If you’re a seasoned professional, this program provides the opportunity to learn new skills to advance your career faster.
Things you’ll learn to do
- Identify clear project objectives and detailed project requirements.
- Develop and monitor performance measures.
- Create valuable project management plans.
- Manage communication with all team members and project stakeholders.

The program gives you a comprehensive foundation in project management and organizational management that applies to not-for-profit, for-profit and government organizations of all sizes. The activities, cases and projects are focused on small–medium sized projects, and are uniquely non-technical in their objectives and learning outcomes.
Under the direction of professors who are both outstanding educators and well-experienced in the project management field, you’ll learn through:
- Interactive classroom activities and numerous case studies.
- Extensive assigned teams and collaborative activities.
- Your initiative engaging the local community throughout the program.
- The Capstone experience working with an actual charity, government, or business organization on a real project that is valuable to them.
- Mobile computing – using your laptop you’ll have 24/7 access to all course materials.
Cooperative Education
You have the option to participate in a four-month cooperative education placement at the end of the program’s eight-month academic portion to gain further valuable real-world experience that is highly regarded by employers. This paid co-op/unpaid internship experience allows you to explore different career paths and apply classroom learning to additional actual business situations.
