If your IELTS/TOEFL score does not meet the minimum English language requirement for direct entry, you may choose to enter the English Language Studies (ESL) program, offered by Sheridan College, which is an intensive, full-time academic program.

Become job-ready in just two years
Develop a mechanical engineering design skillset that’s in high demand. In your first year, you’ll build a strong foundation of fundamental engineering knowledge. In your second year, you’ll study various concepts of advanced design and manufacturing, such as: CAD/CAM, mould design, plant design, finite element analysis, jig and fixture design and additive manufacturing.

Work toward your advanced diploma or other certifications
When you graduate, you can either enter the workforce or go directly into the third year of Sheridan’s Mechanical Engineering Technology – Design advanced diploma program. You’ll also have completed all the academic requirements for professional certification with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT).
Your Mechanical Engineering Technician – Design diploma can lead to a wide variety of roles in the industrial and manufacturing sectors.
